Wow! I'm shocked. I was having a pretty shitty day so my BF took me out for some Shop Therapy. As all women know, Shop Therapy is almost a sure thing when trying to cheer up a friend, but not even that helped...Sure I burnt about $200 on clothes and another $120 on fathers day gifts but I'm still miserable...we went to McDonald's with the kids after and I felt so  overwhelmed I excused my self and came home...How disappointing...not even shopping can numb my pain?! WTF Really God?? You take my mother, then my unborn babies, and my son from me...and I cant even enjoy a little shopping??!!! Seriously my life sucks...

Took me a long time to enjoy shopping again - or anything else for that matter....be kind to yourself & don\'t expect too much. Hugs, Ann

It will take some time ~ and I am a very impatient person so it\'s been really hard (!) ~ but slowly you will begin to kind of enjoy the things you used to enjoy. Very shortly after Corrie was killed we went to a Dairy Queen. It was absolutely surrealistic for me ~ it smelled the same; it looked the same; it sounded the same but it didn\'t FEEL the same. The sense of heaviness and pain simply would not go away. As Karen says, \"the sorrow goes with you wherever you go...\" I still have a very hard time with shopping malls because Corrie and I used to love spending hours there together.

Your life has been shattered into a million tiny pieces. It will take a lot of time to pick them up and put them back in place ~ and even then they may not fit in exactly the same way.

Please be patient with yourself, love yourself and forgive yourself for not feeling it like you used to. It will get better.

Sending love and big hugs ~ Debbie
