It is so dry here in Texas that my allergeis are completely kicking my butt! Thankfully it's only really bad at night and first thing in the mornings after that I'm okay. My 21 week appt went well. my doctor says I'm measuring 21 CM, which I think is pretty big for 21 weeks. Gosh I'm going to be a whale this time around I just know it. I'm weighing about 125 which is more than when I was 8 months pregnant with my son Jarrett. Sigh! But I cant complain....I'm happy to be expecting again. I'm just not sure how I'm going to lose it all after the baby is born. We have decided to start homeschooling Jarrett for the rest of the school year. He's been having alot of trouble at school. As many of you might already know, my son is High Functioning Autistic. In the old days they would have just called him a Savant, until doctors decided to add it to the spectrum scale. Anyways, Being that he just turned five when he began Kindergarden puts him almost a year behind his classmates ( mostly of which are 6 or turning 6) I had a meeting with his counselor and principal and they have informed me that as far as acedemics go, my son is rating above average to first grade level. However, He has major meltdowns when things dont go his way, or if he feels overwhelmed or over stimulated he'll lash out that the teacher or other students. He's been introuble for biting several times.  His problems are strictly behavioral, sensory and about self conrtol. It just seems like maybe the elementary school enviroment is too much for him right now.  I've already established my curriculum, as of  December 28 we'll start working on Phonics, reading, writing, spelling, telling time, early math, early geography, basic science and arts and crafts. I'm just so afraid I'm taking on more than I can handle right now. These were supposed to be my last few months of freedom before the baby comes, I know that's selfish.....I just dont know what it's going to be like doing this alone. My husband starts ALS In January. He'll be living in the Dorms for 2 months, he'll finish right before I'm due. Well. Sorry this is so long I just have alot going on in my head right now.

Hello Friend,
well, maybe your note seemed long, but it was interesting and something well worth reading, so I am glad you did write all of it. I was astonished as you took me back to Tony\'s Kindergarten and First Grade. It seemed as if I were reliving those years. ( note: Things in school did not get better as he progressed in school, they got worse ) I applaude you for home schooling if you can. I wish I could have done it for Tony. I know Tony suffered so much in the school scene, not only from bullies but from Teachers as well. And as Tony progressed in school, things went from bad to worse. I am so glad you are doing the home school for your son. It is my true belief that you will save him untold grief by doing so. One word of caution, have some kids over for him to socialize, where you control the situations. Maybe just for an hour, a recess type thingy. You can teach less hours than the school does, because you can cover more ground faster. Make time for yourself to rest and take car of yourself.
Hugs sweetie, MJ

Sounds like you do have a lot going on! I think perhaps your son might do better being at home. It\'s understandable to want some quite time to yourself though. I am sure it will be hard to have your husband living in a dorm for 2mos... I couldn\'t even imagine!! I wish you luck with all of that. {{Hugs}}
