Last night Jarrett had a high fever, I managed to break it sometime around 9pm. He didn't go to bed till 12. My son still got up this morning for school, instead of following my first instincts and keeping him home I let my morning sickness decide for me. I thought It would just be easier to let him go to school so I can rest. This morning he had no fever and seemed back to his happy self, so off to school he went. I went to have lunch with him this afternoon and he was already very fussy when I got there. He later threw up all over himself. Luckily I always keep extra clothes in my car, I took him to the nurse, changed his clothes and signed him out, He's now home with me. I feel guilty that I sent him to school in the first place. I feel my pregnancy has completely taken control of my life and my son isn't getting the attention he needs. I'm keeping him home the rest of the week, he seems fine now, he's eating a popscile and watching Dora...lol...Sigh, I really wanted another child, and all the difficulty we've had in the past kinda made me obsessed with getting pregnant again. Now that I am pregnant, I worry if I made the right choice. Can I really handle an High Functioning Autistic child and a newborn? Or am I setting myself up for a whole lot of stress in the future?

you can do it. if you made a slight mistake by sending him to school, its OK! you have him home w/ you now---so pamper him and yourself as much as possible. Kids w/out high functioning autism can be just as much of a handful to their moms----you are young and down the road once you have this baby----just try to eat healthy and try and walk for exercise---that along w/ being in your 20\'s should give you all the energy you need for 2 children----plus i know you love your child (children--soon enough) YOU CAN DO IKT!!!! your just tired and morning sick and are having a bad day.
(sorry if i went on and on...and also got a bit \"dietitian\" on you! i happen to be a dietitian) it will be ok!
I can tell you are a GREAT mom, you always show so much love and concern for your son. Don\'t doubt yourself, you are a strong person and can handle it!
You didn\'t make any mistakes! I teach elementary school and kids come to school sick all the time. If they want to go and they seem fine, the parents send them. Nothing new. Your son is very lucky to have you as a mom, you really care about him!
