Thanksgiving
Well, once again another successful holiday has come and gone. I'm so thankful this year for being here to celebrate another Thanksgiving with my husband and though I missed being with my family, I also know that he is my family too. I'm so very grateful that my husband has gotten cooking for me down to fine science! There was no struggle this year with our holiday menu...he knew exactly what to buy and how to prepare it and unlike last year where it was so much strain to get thru our meal, this year it was so nice to just sit down and enjoy it knowing it was well within my dietary guideline :) I also didn't feel any of the guilt I felt last year...during holidays last year we were still fine tuning low salt cooking and I felt like my husband was being cheated out of some of the things he may have liked. Not the case this year...it was a fun and happy day for both of us, though I think the cats ate more turkey than we did...little piggies!!! The only struggle during our meal was when it came time to say Grace. I leave that task to my husband and this year, well, he was at a loss for words...so much for marrying a Preacher's son LOL All in all, I'm thankful for God for giving me the strenght to have made it this far and the strength he will continue to give me, I'm thankful for all of the support I've gotten from everyone I've come to know on this wonderful site, for my family and thier undying love, for my doctors who at times drive my crazy but still keep me in good hands, for my cats for making me laugh everyday (if I'm going to be sick at least I'll look good doing it because laughter prevents wrinkles...thank you my little furballs!)....and most of all, I'm thankful for my guardian angel, my husband. My mother-in-law told me last year that God brought us back together after our separation at the very right time, because it was shortly after I came home to him that I became ill. Had I not been with him I don't know that I would have been as well looked after as I was. He saved my life, everyday he saves me from myself, and as angry as I may get at times with him and his trifling ways, I know there will never be anyone else on Earth that loves me as much as he does. Happy Thanksgiving and God bless,CA and the critters (MEOW!)
