Well, it is official.  I was given a website called preditors and editors and found the agent who wanted to represent me.  Not good.  So I sent back an e-mail declining their offer.  That really hurt.  But I don't need to get involved with someone who isn't really going to help me.  I can't afford to.  I did go back and edit the one part of my story that the other agent (the one who didn't want me) commented on.  So at least the next agent won't have to go through that.  I figure she probably pointed out the most aggrevious mistake.  Anyway.  I was just thinking they need something like e-harmony.com for authors and editors.  You know, you answer a bunch of questions about yourself and your work, and it matches you with agents that might like what you wrote.   So I ran 3 miles this morning.  It was kinda cold and kinda rainy, but felt really good.  My legs feel awesome, like they belong to someone else or something.  Really strong.  My lungs however, definately mine.  Oh well.   I was feeling really bad when I woke up this morning to the realization that I am still an abject failure at just about everything.  But I had an e-mail from a friend I hadn't heard from in a while telling me not to give up, that he knows I will succeed.  Somehow that made me feel a bit better.  He doesn't contact me often, or say much when he does, but he always seems to know the right thing to say at the right time.  Funny how that works.  A spouse can't do that because they are too close to the problem.  But anyway.  I have a bunch of stuff to get done still today.  Somehow my to do list seems to be reproducing.
