Not feeling well today at all. Woke up with a headache and sinus stuff. Also feeling really tired. I did a three mile run this morning, well sort of. I had to walk some of it. I just didn't have any energy. Yuck. I wish I knew what was wrong with me. Yesterday I went to joann fabric to get some material to make a quilt for our choir director having a baby soon. I saw a sign saying they were hiring. I wasn't really prepared yesterday, but now I am thinking of taking a resume over there. If only I can get up the courage. Which is stupid really, the worst thing they can say is "no" and then I won't be any worse off than I am now. I mean it isn't like they are going to tell me that not only do they not want me to work there, they don't even want me to shop there anymore. But somehow that is what I am feeling. I feel like I have to prepare myself to be rejected. I got an e-mail yesterday, one of the jobs I had applied for went to someone else. No surprise there. I was reading an article this morning about a 24 year old man who when he was a senior in college was camping, had a sezier and fell into his campfire. He was horribly disfigured, had to have his nose and both ears reconstructed as well as multiple skin grafts. He was suiing the University because apparently this camping trip was a requirement for him to graduate, they knew he was epileptic and should have known the risk. He settled for a lot less than he origionally asked for because he was able to get a job after all. He had asked for a lot more because he assumed that no one would hire him because of the disfigurement. So maybe there is hope for me, if this guy could find someone willing to look past the disfigurement, maybe I will too. Who knows. Well, my son just came back from his MEPS exam, he passed it. So I guess I don't have an excuse to hang around here anymore. Guess I'll give this job think my best shot. I did put on some nice clothes and a little makeup, fixed my hair a bit. Here goes nothing. Update:Okay, so went in and asked at the Customer Service desk just like the sign said. I was told by the woman behind the counter that the person doing the hiring was not there today. I asked if I could leave a resume. She told me I could and asked if I had filled out an application yet, I said no. So I stood there feeling like an idiot filling out the job app. If they read that first, I don't stand a chance. I was just filling it out feeling like a total failure. My last paying job was 13 years ago! They don't even really want to know about anything past 10 years ago. But I smiled, tucked my resume inside the completed application and handed it to her. She said they would call if they were interested. Yeah, right. I stopped at taco bell and had crap for lunch. Feeling even worse physically.
