Another day, another failure.  Ran 3 miles this morning.  I felt kinda stiff at first, probably from sitting on my butt all day yesterday.  Since I was here anyway, I went to the job fair at COSI.  There were two seminars that were a little helpful.  One was on "older folks" returning to the work force.  They had some websites that may prove helpful, that remains to be seen.  One was on writing a better resume.  It was pretty good, but when she showed the 'bad' resume that wouldn't make it past the screener, I swear I want to know how she got ahold of my resume!  lol.  It looked just like mine.  So after that, I just wanted to crawl into a hole instead of meeting with the recruiters.  I did go into the recruiting area and it was mostly sales jobs.  I did pick up an Aldi application and talked to the folks at the Penny's table, although I already filled out an application from their website.  That could be handy as we spend a lot of money on clotes.  But I'm not betting the farm on that one.  I started to talk to some reps at tables, but lost my nerve.  I'm just thinking what's the point.  No one is going to hire me. Still haven't heard from Nick.  Am about going crazy.  Feeling a little better but really need to hear from my son.

Sounds like some good advice at the job fair. I love Aldis as a place to shop and I like the fact that they have set up the check out (at least at our local store) so that the cashiers can sit down while they do their job. They\'re benefits seem pretty good as well. My daughter is job-hunting too and has had some success in making contacts by using one of the on-line job message boards. Can\'t remember which one but I\'ll try and find out for you.
