Got news yesterday that an old classmate of my older son died New Year's Eve in a car wreck. He was 21 years old. A really nice kid. I am sad beyond words. He was an only child. My heart breaks for his mom. She is a wonderful teacher, taught 2 of my children. Just doesn't seem fair. I am continuing to recover. Feeling really tired today, but could be the news sinking in.

As I am typing this, a funeral is taking place right now for a guy that I went to school with. He was only 39 years old and also an only child. It is like I tell my wife, no matter what is going on I insist on a kiss and telling each other that we love each other every day, because you never know when the last day will be. It is sad to see folks die so young. It does make you wonder why.
