Well, he made it!  Mixed feelings for sure, but, NF did not keep him out.  He almost got eliminated because he failed the first test for color blindness. lol  But he passed the second time, so I guess everything is okay there.  My dad wanted to join the Coast Guard and colorblindness kept him out.  But the second test went okay, so......  He signed all the papers.  He is officially in the Naval Reserves from now until he goes off to boot camp.  Sooo trying to get on board here.  At least as a hull tech on a boat, he isn't likely to get shot at.  I think.  Anyway.  Been busy trying to make my house acceptable for my dad's visit.  Taking a break for now.
