Whew!!! I did it. 16 miles. And I was able to run in the neighborhood. I now know why people run in the street instead of on the sidewalk. It does make a difference. I started on the sidewalk, but after 13 miles, my feet told me to get into the street. I feel pretty good. It took me 3 hours and 15 minutes. Not too bad I think. I was a little worried about that because the treadmill goes at a relentless pace. I worried what my pace would be when my body got to determine it. But it was about the same as on the treadmill. Next week, 18. And I know now if I get to run in the neighborhood, I will start in the street. It was kinda funny, I knew when I got up and checked the weather that I would be running in the neighbor hood, so I put on my running outfit (black underarmor, black running shorts and my neon yellow/greeen NF Marathon singlet). But I had to take my youngest daughter to school first. When we walked out to the car, she looked at me and kinda looked around the block. I think she was making sure no one she knew was around to see me. lol. Oh well. Hope everyone else is having a grand Monday.

You keep running all of these miles and adding on more miles all the time. It wont be long before you will be able to run all the way to my house in NC, but put some of those pretzels and honey in your pocket that you talked about on a previous journal, before you come.

I think kids sometimes don\'t want to admit that they have parents at all. We can be so embarrassing. I\'m sure she\'s amazed at your accomplishment though, as am I.
