I made it. It wasn't necessarily pretty, but..... 13.1 miles, my time was 2 hours and 38 minutes, which keeps me on my goal of a 5 and 1/2 hour marathon finish. The first hour felt pretty good, the second hour was a little harder. I set the treadmill to random hills for the first two hours, but when I started the third hour, I hit the random button and it wanted to start me out with a 15% grade, I just said, "no, I don't think so", and hit the manual button. lol. I did the last 3.1 miles with a 2% grade. Still feeling down, I know I shouldn't, but I do. It is so pretty outside, the sun is shining so bright, but it isn't even 20 degrees out. I hope this blue streak ends soon. On the good side, my right big toe nail finally fell off. It's about time. Now for the left one.

I hope you\'re oozing with pride. What a great accomplishment...especially on a treadmill...boring!! You will be more than ready for your May marathon!!
Impressive stuff. The blues are like that. They come and go when they want. Keep acting as if....you will move on soon.
I think it\'s great that you remind yourself of how to rationally counterbalance the blues. I am going through a similar situation right now --it\'s important that we fight it with a positive attitude, even when we don\'t feel like being optimistic :)
You\'re doing great on your marathon preparation. You inspire me to continue re-training myself to run again!
They said that yesterday was the gloomiest day of the year. But it will be over.. I too hate this time whether its snowing or not. Good for you for running, thats great.
