Winter is back.  It is kinda sunny today, but really cold.  I did my SRR today, (short recovery run).  It was only supposed to be 20-30 minutes.  But I was out for about 40, cause I walked some of it.  But my actual running time was 25 in 5 minute shots with 1-2 minutes of walking in between, then walked the last bit strait.  The Underarmour came through again.  I knew I was sweating, and my hands were freezing (forgot to wear gloves), but I stayed warm and dry.  The only problem is, I feel a little guilty.  Even though I followed my schedule, I feel like I cheated.  But all the stuff I am reading says especially beginners should limit themselves to one long run a week.  So I am doing that.  One hours run tomorrow.   I'm off to try to find the sword my hubby wants for his birthday.  He has a collection.  I kinda started it, when we were on vacation a few years ago touring historic sites in VA, he saw a replica of Stonewall Jackson's sword and thought it was really neat.  It was like 100 dollars, and we had that then, so I told him he should go ahead and get it.  Now our house looks like an armory. lol.  We have like 3 Claymores, a couple of Japanese Katanas and I don't know what else.  So anyway.  Off to the sword store I go.   UpdateFound the sword.  That was a bit of a scarey place.  But if I ever feel the need to purchace a taser, I know where to go. lol.  My oldest son went with me, so that made me feel safer.  Then we went to a book store, he was looking for the book, "The Last King of Scotland", about Idi Amin (sp).   Then we went to Trader Joes, where I bought (its his fault, he picked them out!) some diet busting dark chocolate esspresso beans.  Imagine chocolate covered coffee beans.  I had one out of curiosity, strangely good.  Well, I at least didn't have too many, and it was dark chocolate.   Hope everyone is having a great day.

Don\'t feel like you cheated. The worst thing you can do is to over do it early and cause a big set back. You did just like you should!

Be glad you\'re not here, 14\" of new snow last night! lol

Good luck finding the sword. I would love to see pics of the collection some time.

I say listen to the experts. It would be a shame if you got an injury from overdoing. Glad the sword shopping went well. Sounds like an adventure.

Sounds like your training is going well. I agree that you shouldn\'t overdo it at first. Good luck with the long run...just a few more days until I can get back into the gym.
