I got the gingerbread houses cut out and baked. Trying to keep the dogs out of them until they cool properly. My daughters are the only ones who still make them with me. The boys are "too old" for that. lol. Of course I will never be too old! I have lots of candy to put on them. Gotta try to avoid mindless eating of the candy prematurly before it is put on the houses. I am really tired this morning in spite of sleeping late. Maybe my body is sighing and saying, " at last, time to rest". The final cantada performance was last night. My hubby actually surprised me by coming. He never comes to church with me, even when I am doing a solo. Somewhere in the last 27 years, I finally quit asking, he gets so sour about it when I do. But last night, he came without my having asked. It really made me feel good that he did. The choir is singing at the 7:30 service tonight and two of my kids want to go to the 11PM service, so I guess I will take them. Thanksgiving seems like a hundred years ago. Well, I am off for a walk, hope that gives me some pep.

oh Marah - I am so glad your hubby went to your concert I really am.........I really LOVE the sound of your gingerbread houses, you are a creative woman, you really are. My oldest friend made a gingerbread house for me and the family a few years ago and it just seemed so dreadful to start cutting it up. I think we have a photo of it somewhere - will you have photos as well - you seem to make such an amazing Christmas for your family - I used to love going to the late service, maybe I will again one day...:).......Happy Christmas to you my good friend....Cathrynn XOXOX
That was a nice gift from hubby. I\'m sure the boys won\'t be too old to help in the eating of the gingerbread houses! sounds like fun.
Not a creature is stirring on here, not even a mouse.lol. Am back from 7:30 service, trying to stay awake for the 11. I actually have 3 of my gang who say they want to go now. Perhaps I will go for a walk to look at Christmas lights.
Marah, I can only imagine the surprise and joy to see your dear husband in church. That is a special gift for you this Christmas. My hubby has stopped going to church in the last year or so. A couple of things happened then when his daddy became sick and died this year, many things changed. I go without him, but, I\'ll tell you the truth. The last couple of weeks I\'ve stayed home with him and watched church on TV. Very meaningful but I do miss my church family. I\'ve got to get back into going or I\'ll stop going altogether. It\'s harder when I\'m on my own. But, I\'m so grateful he loves Jesus. I wish you would teach me how to make gingerbread houses. I\'ve always wanted to learn...I make cornflake peanut butter cookies, chocolate fudge with mint frosting, banana nut and pumpkin bread. I\'ll do Christmas cookies over vacation with my neice and another friend. I\'m glad you are a mom who enjoys cooking with her kids. These are precious memories they will always look back on with a smile...even your sons!! Hee Hee Merry Christmas!
