Having a hard time getting moving today.  I am really tired.  Am reading to Kindergarteners this morning.  Then I have to get to Sam's Club to buy trash bags, and some canned goods for my son to take to school for a food drive.  It is for credit for his Government class.  He has to do a certain amount of volunteer work.  Of course he helps out with Logos every week, putting in three hours every Wed. working with elementary age kids doing games and helping cook dinner for them, but that doesn't count.  But his mom buying 48 canned goods and bringing them in, that counts.  Go figure.  He also gave blood, and that counted.  He found out he is 0-, we didn't know that.  My father-in-law was 0- though and he always got a call from the Red Cross when it was time to donate again.  Anyway, sometime I gotta get a bike ride in there.  More coffee!!!!!

Why is it that volunteer work usually involves mom and dad spending money. I never could quite figure that part out. Well have a good day. I am going to do my best to have one too. Smiles and hugs

I like that kids learn about volunteering. I don\'t think they taught that when my kids were in school. Cool thing. Agreed with the comment above of williamj re: Mom and Dad picking up the tab! Something is confusing the lesson!

Enjoy the kindergarteners...what a nice thing to do!
