Just when I think I know something about human nature, something happens that lets me know that I know absolutely nothing. People can justify just about any thing they want to do or say it seems. People hurt each other for sport. I just don't understand, nor do I think I want to.

I think the power of denial is what makes many people act the way they do....denial of the consequences of their actions, denial of the effects someone else has on them, and on and on. Probably the only truism about human nature that is always true is that there are more varieties of people than there are grains of sand.
