I did 6 and a half miles this morning.  Did some running with my walking.  I have a goal of running a marathon in May.  The purpose is to raise money and awareness of NF.  My purpose is to have a goal to work for.  And yes, this is a real marathon.  A "friend" yesterday laughed at me.  Then he reminded me that people die running that far. And then asked if I had ever even done a sit up!  Okay, two words for you my "friend".  It's on!!  And before anyone else laughs at me, I have 8 months to prepare.  I am in a lot better shape now than when I started walking last January, when I got winded walking half a mile.  I know I am just an old, fat, asthmatic, arthritic with NF, but I have to try.  I know I may not make it, joking aside I don't believe I will die trying, I just may not finish.

You Go Girl! As much as you run everyday cannot mean that you are fat. Why do you say that? I can already picture your marathon. TRAIN your butt off

If ever there was a person who follows through with a commitment to exercise it is YOU! You can do this, I\'m sure. And it is a noble and worthy goal. WTG! I\'m cheering you on!
