I am so incredibly miffed! I took my daughter to register her for her Freshman year of high school today. They have put her in the same computer class as my son who is a Senior! My son missed taking it his Freshman year because we moved here when he was a Sophomore. For some reason it didn't fit his schedule Jr. year, and I told them then this was a fear of mine then. My son (the Senior)has a learning disability and is not good with computers. My daughter (the Freshman) is gifted and is a whiz bang at computers. All I need is for the teacher to innocently make some comment about his sister doing better on some project than he did. This is soooo unfair. When I first mentioned this possiblity 2 years ago, I was told, oh that won't happen. And I asked, "Yes, but what if it does?" and I was told, well we can change it. Because this computer class is a requirement to graduate so it is offered every period every semester. Well apparently, they are all full!!!!!! So my daughter has graciously offered, it it can't be changed, to drop it this year and take it next year. She doesn't have a study hall scheduled because she doesn't really need one and finds them boring. But she has agreed to take one anyway to take the pressure off of him. It was very nice of her to do that, but she shouldn't have to. No wonder I have high blood pressure!

Just relax. It sounds like your daughter is being very sweet by making the offer. I know she shouldn\'t have to, but the offer makes her sound very much like you...caring, kind and sweet. You should be proud.
I think it\'s wonderful that your daughter has made such a generous offer, but it doesn\'t seem fair that your son can\'t be switched to another class. I would think seniors would have some sort of priority so that they can graduate. Who gave you this word? Is there a higher authority that you could appeal to? It must be very frustrating. Just keep breathing.
I honor your daughter. She loves her brother and understands the embarrassment he would have endured just being in the same class as her. I honor your son for continuing his education when it hasn\'t been easy for him. Does his enjoy working with hands? Is he a good auditory learner? I\'m glad I\'m not tested on computers at school. The kids would beat me hands down. I honor you for knowing your children and teaching them to love each other. I honor you, my friend, diane
