Well, I can almost say I survived.  They are supposed to be cleaning up the den and getting ready for pick up.  But, I know I wll be cleaning after they leave.  I did okay food wise last night.  I did have one peice of birthday cake. A small one.  I knew it was either have one peice while everyone else did or sneak one later.  And I knew the snuck peice would end up being much bigger.  Today will be hard, the cake has already been calling me, and my husband and sons are gone to Cleveland for the day to sight see.  But if I can stay out of the kitchen, I think I will be okay.  I am getting ready to dump out the stale popcorn from last night because sadly, I do not trust myself with it.  Maybe I will feed it to the love birds.  I think they would like that.

Ah, I remember those days of slumber parties. On my 16th birthday, Mom let me have 50 girls over for the night. We all slept in sleeping bags throughout our basement. It was fun, though I had to be at the school the next morning at 7:00 for my 3 hour Driver\'s Ed test. Thank you for creating a fun night for your daughter, one that she will remember through the years with great fondness...you are quite a wonderful mom and friend...didiy

Just one ice cream cone last night....and I\'m going to have to keep myself distracted. Even your cake idea is sounding good...glad it isnt here. have a good day.

Ah, there\'s a question for the ages. If broccoli tasted like chocolate, I\'d be all set. Good job on eating a small piece of cake. It was good thinking to know that you\'d be dangerous afterward. I always have a terrible time with leftovers like that. You could throw them out. I always tell myself, \"It\'s going to go to waist or waste, and no matter what I do, it won\'t help the starving people of the world.\" Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn\'t. I do have a recipe for a killer cake that is very low in points and calories and quite healthy since the main wet ingredient is pumpkin. It can be made as spice or chocolate. In fact, I\'ve got one baking in the oven right now!
