Don't really know where to start. I live in the great state of Texas, Been a Firefighter for 25+ years. I guess I'm still in disbelief over this HepC stuff. I always tryed to do right in my life. I'am still not over the shock of all this. I start TX in Aug. I have learned to quit looking on the internet cuase it's making me insane "LoL" . So if anyone can let me know what to exspect I would really like to hear from you.

Oh my God when i was looking thru people I came across you. My husband has Hep C has had it for 24yrs now he has been on every treatment that has come available..I can talk to you if you need any questions answered weve been thru 4 treatments and none of them have worked in putting the hep c into remission. So I know alot about hep c if you need a friend. Dont be so scared its really manageable... my husband has the Geno type that is the hardest to put into remission because you know???? Hep C is not cureable. Hope to help you thur this and be a friend

Why not start a thread on the main board? You\'ll get tons of replies. The support of friends here will help as you get used to this...its not a punishment for being a bad person anymore than a child born with spina bifida is being punished. Its just another illness like the flu or chicken pox or cancer. Nobody deserves it. now that you know, you can start treatment. We\'re here for support & sharing information. Welcome!

Hi, I just finished my 4th shot and it wasn\'t near as bad as I thought it would be. I had to stop treatment for a couple of weeks because of a side effects with my eyes but am hoping to start back next week. The treatment made me very anemic so I have been very tired. The first shot was the worst but if you have insurance they make a medicine for nausea that they give cancer patients that was like a miracle drug. I took it before 2nd shot and didn\'t get sick to my stomach at all. It was great. Anything I can help you with I\'ll be glad to. I hope you have great results and no side effects. Just keep thinking positive. Susan

Hi Day, I start tx this Friday. You found a great site with lots of support. It was a little overwhelming to me when I found out too. At any rate, we are here for you. Keep an eye on the main board - lots of good information. You will see that although some have pretty serious side effects from tx, many have minimal sides. I wish you minimal sides.
