Good morning my friends,Another day, can't walk due to pain in my ankles and back and just having an all around depressing morning. My younger daughter has been on maternity leave for 6 weeks and is not ready emotionally to go back to work.  She wanted to breastfeed her baby and is not able to (second time she tried) and just can't let go of her depression.  She does have Employee assistance at work and can get 6 free counseling sessions, which I am encouraging her to do.I wish I could shake this depression.  I don't know what to do or how to help myself so if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.I will talk to you all soon as I continue to play catch up with journals.Love ya allLaurie

hello!..i read your journal and though i would write a short note, and say hi!...usually if i\'m depressed i pull back and get quiet, so i have to push myself to get up and start doing something to help myself...i try to write to my friends on here at ds; and it\'s a job for me ...as i really feel like isolating.....but after a few hellos to my friends, i start to feel a little better, because i have talked about how i feel depressed, so, i\'m getting rid of some of the \"stuff\" that\'s causing me to feel lousy; so, i wind up better off then when i started!!!...if you keep all those feelings inside, they mess with your thinking!!well, here i\'m just rambling on..i think you know what i mean.....so, put a smile on your face, and think positive!!!...we\'ll make it together; just hold my hand and we will be o.k.!!!....hugs, love, and prayers for you and your daughter and your baby grand child!!!....hugssssssss, weezie.. :0)

For me depression has never been easy to shake and I\'ve dealt with it all my life either in myself or family members. Some people can bounce back quickly but for others it isn\'t that easy. If you want to send me a message and talk on aol or phone~I\'m here...just let me know.
One moment, one breath, one step at a time.
