Dear friends,I just got back from the doctor. Whatever is wrong in my stomach is far too inflamed for him to consider a colonoscopy at this time. He put me on some killer antibiotics and I have to go see him in two weeks. At that time we will make a decision as to whether or not the colonoscopy is needed. My brother and I were going to visit my sister next Tuesday trying to avoid Labor Day traffic. When we spoke to the nurse yesterday she insinuated we need to be there sooner so we will be going up for the weekend.. if not longer.I have already made my peace with her the last time I was up there- 4 days ago. Now my brother wants to see her again( he was there two weeks ago) before she is unable to talk. I believe my daughters will be going up there on Saturday to see her. I know that it is difficult for my older one because she has not let go of the anger she feels toward my sister and her behavior during my mom's final days when my sister refused to talk to my mom. Anyway I will be off again for a few days and will catch up when I come back. I hope you all have peaceful and low level pain days. Luv ya laurie

You take care of yourself also. You will be no good to anyone if you are sick. I am sure this will be a stressful time for you and I will keep you in my thought and prayers. Remember: Take good care of you...........Cathy
Oh my..... Let\'s hope those antibiotics are killer enough so you don\'t even need one at all. I hate those colonoscopies. Almost nothing worse. Good luck to you my friend. Both with your health and with your sister. You are always on my mind and I always pray for you. Stay safe on the crazy holiday highways. I hope you can feel well enough to enjoy the ride. I love you Laurie! I\'ll miss you while you are gone.
I hope the meds work on you. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Be safe on the roads and have a safe trip. Hugs.....Julie
have a safe trip Laurie, I agree abut your daughter needing to let go of her anger. She will feel awful later on. It can\'t be changed, but its her choice. behave yourself, and take care. you must take care of yourself hugs sandy
My daughter is going up this weekend with my other daughter and her husband. I think that she will feel better (not really better) just to make her peace with my sister. I certainly can\'t blame her for how she feels, but I am glad she is making the effort.
So, so sorry about all you have to deal with, it\'s just a shame. Have a safe trip and let us know how you\'re doing when you get back. xxxooo
God bless you and your family. I hope your daughter is able to find some peace with the situation. Good for her for making the effort, instead of being punitive. It would have been very easy to have gone the other way on this for all of you, I\'m sure. You have a such a good family, Laurie. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. kim
