I need helpI know that I did things that I was not supposed to do but that was last week and it appears to be getting worse. I am already on the fentynal pain patch and take flexeril and lorcet for breakthru pain. I don't know what else to do. I can't take a hot bath unless my patch comes off and my doc said not to do that. I can't stand or sit. If I lay down I can't get up.Does anyone have any suggestions for me> I need all the help I can get

ask your docotr about fentora it is for breakthru pain used along with the fentaynal patch i was on that combination for while instead of using the lorcet..fentora is dissolved between teeth and gums so absorbs into system quickly alleviating pain

I was on the fentynal patch, a cheaper version of the Duragesic, sure I didn\'t spell that right, but for years, about 5 total, taking hot baths never hurt me, can\'t say it wouldn\'t you, that\'s between you and your doctor. Frankly, I was told to put it on, and not take it off. And, I didn\'t, but did everything as normal. I got like you are now, and if it were not for a warm bath sometimes, don\'t know what I\'d do. Maybe keep it in a location that\'s not getting direct contact with the heat? Like your arm, shoulder? Just a thougt. Of course, always call and check with your doctor or his nurse. Love Susan, thanks for your concern when I was sick.

Hey Susan thanks for your help. I do keep the patch on my upper torso, but I cannot do anything to raise my temperature . What I have been doing is when I change my patch every other day I go in my pool and then take a shower. I also have a hot tub so I might try that tomorrow and see if it helps. Thanks again

My sister is a physical therapist assistant. She knows as much as the certified physical therapists, just isn\'t certified yet, but works for the State of Florida\'s rehab center. She told me to alternate heat and cold. The heat helps to relax muscles, the ice reduces swelling. If you can find the target points of spasms use heat, if you can find inflamed points, use an ice pack, that may help you some. Also, if you can have periodic professional massages, those help a lot since our bodies blood flow is reduced from lack of movement. Some will visit your home and bring their own massage table or chair. Sorry you\'re having such a difficult time.

Thanks for the info. At this point I am so afraid to let anyone touch my back even a massage therapist. I know from past experience they didn\'t want to do my neck because of all the hardware in there. Never checked on my back. Thanks for your advice

I am so sorry you are suffering so much. Hot bath is what helps me the most also. I also have a inversion table but this is something you cannot do because of the hardware. The inversion table helps me a lot I always feel taller and like I am walking on air when I get off. It puts some space between my discs and relieves so much pressure. I wish you could feel it. A lot of back patients cannot use this due to hardware and fusing. I can use it but not for a long period of time. Hope you find something that gives you some relief and real quick.----Cathy

Wow, mica that sounds wonderful..., I am so sorry Jasmine that you are feeling so horrible. You have been wonderful to me, and here you are suffering....I don\'t have any ideas as I am still in the waiting for surgery stage....I just wish you less pain, and more relaxation.

My dearest friend, I am so sorry that you are going through all this pain. But I agree with the comments above mine, call your doctor and ask about the massage and baths. Hope you feel better soon. Hugs~~

Thank you all for caring. I did indeed speak with the doctor and I can only take a bath when my patch is off. I am truly humbled by the people who are my friends
