Well it is official. I have finally gotten a decision from my private disability insurance and they found in my favor. I was really beginning to sweat it. It is bittersweet though. I guess I have just been declared "officially disabled" You say it and you write it on here but it really hits home when it is official. Don't get me wrong I am not whining it is just a tough nut to swallow.Thanks for everyone who helped me thru this and I will talk to you all later

Laurie, I understand exactly what you are saying. Last yr when I got my award letter from SSD saying I was totally disabled I cried. I did not know what an impact those words woould have on me until I saw it in print. I do want to congratulate you tho, its one thing off of your mind, and now you can move forward where that is concerned. Take some down time for yourself, your mind set is very important, find your happy place. hugsssss for you sweetie sandy

Laurie,been there too!Look at it like this-you were already disabled before you read those words.Nothing is different than before you opened the letter.At least you can stop worrying so much about how to make ends meet.Congradulations!
Hang in there. I would assume this is a good thing, that your are going to be getting some income, not the being labeled thing. But it\'s just that, only a lable, you are a very strong woman and you can overcome this. Hope you are feeling better tomorrow. (((hugs))))

Oh my, I totally understand. I have been told to file for SSD. And that I could still work part time after I get it... I\'m not sure I want to go there yet. I am also told that it protects me if there are times that I can\'t work at all.... hhmmm not sure what to do. BUT HEY... this means you can just focus on getting yourself taken care of without all that red tape. Chin up Girlfriend!!
