It has been a long few days and I am trying to get my act together. It is hard but with everyones help and prayers I am truly trying.  My other 2 cats are walking around as if they are lost.  I have one who has been very klingy.  I know I did the right thing because I would never subject an animal to pain.  Yesterday I tried to drive to my attorneys office to fill out the appeal paperwork for social security.  I don't even know if I am allowed to drive with the patch but it wasn't far from my house. Of course the only parking spot was at the end of the parking lot so I had to walk across to get to the door. What a trial that was. Maybe I should find out about a handicapped sticker for my car. Anyway the meeting took all of 15 minutes and I went home.  That was it for me. Pain Pain Pain.  Don't think I will be driving any time soon. Everyone here at ds has been wonderful and I can't tell you how important your support has been.  It was a fluke that I found this site and yet it probably has been the most important thing I could have done for myself.  I love you all and appreciate you all.  Have a happy and safe Memorial Day weekend for those of you who are traveling and for everyone else just have some fun.

Jaz where do you live? I was approved and so was Riley, He even had it for about 5 months, but my husbands income affected that, so neither of us can get it, I wish we could, there is no way I will ever work. which somedays I wish I could, I miss it, others when I hurt, I dont care. Have a great holiday, we have a lot of graves to hit, we have had 8 deaths this year alone. Sad huh? Hope that doesnt happen this year. knock on wood.. Oh, and I know about the lost thing, Elmer, Our pug, was so lost after we lost Ivy, He moped around for weeks I felt so bad for him. It was aweful then we throw this puppy at him, talk about torture.. at least he has someone again, huh?

Sometimes I wonder if finding this place was a fluke or divine intervention. I can\'t imagine not having you guys\' support and friendship in my life. I\'m sorry your pain is so bad. I\'ve heard it usually takes a couple tries for SS. I hope everything starts getting brighter for you, my friend.

I was approved for social security disability as soon as I got out of the hospital. I feel bad for anyone that has to go through a lot of trouble to get it. My husband is also disabled and he had to wait 3 yrs to get his social security disability. He just got it. His was harder to get because he has back problems, mine was easy because I have gbs and my doctor told me I fall into the 20% category that will never walk again. Of course I believe in God and not doctors so I keep praying and not giving up on walking.

Again, I\'m sorry about Radar. But do you feel as you should be driving? I know it may not seem much, but I know that a lot of people shouldn\'t be driving because of all the muscles that are used. Anyway, look into the handicap card, I don\'t think you would have a problem. And I agree, when he gets home, ask him to tell you all about it, while he is cooking you dinner and taking care of things :) We do, why can\'t he? J/K have a wonderful day.
