Well it is Saturday. I have a funeral to go to at 1:30 and have no idea how I am going to do it. Joe just went to the drugstore to get me a cane so that I can feel more secure on my feet.

I just went online to check a few things and found something very depresssing. On one of the spine networks it says that if you don't feel relief from pain after 3 months it is considered a failed surgery and the more the surgeon goes in the less likely it is to help. So I guess it is official. I was dreading reading that hoping( unrealistically) that the pain would go away.
It is hard to think that this is the way I am going to be for the rest of my life. I can only hope that somewhere in the future someone can help those of us in the same boat. I guess that I have to accept this and go on but boy is it hard to do. There is so much I want to do in life, but it is difficult to plan not knowing what level of pain you are going to be in. I am sorry I am ranting but it is one of those days that I am feeling sorry for myself. I know I will get over it but just not now.

Please know that you are not feeling sorry for yourself and it is okay to express your feelings. That is why we are here for each other. To listen and be supportive. I also am feeling very upset about the news my doc told me about never walking again. And I also don\'t know how I am going to get through it but somehow by the grace of God we will. My prayers are with you.

I\'m sorry! This is a rough weekend. You deserve to say how you feel, so don\'t think you\'re feeling sorry for yourself. And if you are, thats perfectly okay sweetie! You are in my thoughts!

doesnt it make you feel good to do all these online researches to find out what is wrong with you?? we are almost ruining ourselves, or at least our self esteem... Sucks. I totally understand your pain. Although mine isnt nearly as bad as yours. My surgery (3rd) wasnt a failure if that is true, which I am not sure of that, I believe that if you have pain again, I shouldnt be considered a failure, once you mess with your back you have back trouble for the rest of your life, and speaking from family genetics, I totally agree with that. My aunts, 3- my dad, his dad, one aunt had her back totally fused all the way up, my dad has had 6 surgeries.. Anyways.. I dont consider them failures, I just consider new pain. Isnt that easier to swallow? and dont worry about talking about things, I was told once that talking about things here was what everyone here is for, to support you. Maybe we should give each other a cyber back rub, to feel better. LOL
