New Day
It's a new day and I'm feeling hopeful. The sun is shining and it looks to be beautiful all day long. I'm driving over for my MTX injection. I used to dread those days, just staying awake for the trip was hard (and I'm driving!). But now that I'm "retired/disabled" I am not so fatigued. It is funny. When I quit work, I hurt so much and was so sad. I expected to feel better, well, maybe not instantly, but soon! That just didn't happen. I kept having flares. I kept having pain. I wondered why I bothered to quit, if I was going to continue with the pain/flare cycle. But, slowly, ever so slowly, I am making progress. It has been hard to see, but it is there. I can tell in my fatigue levels. I can tell in an increase in my ability to exercise. I haven't had a prednisone increase for a flare in 4 months! This is a big change. So upward and onward. Small baby steps. But still forward.
