Finally!  A little progress!  After plateau-ing for almost 3 months, I finally dropped 4 pounds overnight.  I was starting to miss losing weight!  I've been telling myself that when I get into the 100's, I will cry like a baby.  Well, I have one pound to go and I probably won't believe it when it happens.  I MUST LOSE IT BEFORE THANKSGIVING!  Obviously, I can't stuff myself with turkey and stuffing like I used to, but I can eat enough to not lose that pound!  Well, maybe not stuffing.  I can't wait for turkey though!Anyway, I checked my BMI online this morning and guess what...I am officially "overweight" and NOT "obese"!  OMG, I can't believe it.  It's only half a point, but still, I'm in a new category!  I haven't weighed what I weigh now since I was in the 6th grade.  I remember vividly because I was the only 200 pound girl going to junior high from my grade school.  I was a fat kid (who started developing in the 3rd grade!) and it wasn't a pleasant experience.  Well look at me now!  I still look in the mirror not believing the true reflection.  When I was big, I didn't think I was THAT big.  And now that I'm getting smaller, I think I'm much bigger than I am!  I've been thinking of going back to school.  I would like to study dietetics and exercise science.  This whole experience has peaked my interest in the subject.  I checked the program requirements for the dietetics major at a few local colleges and it requires a two-year internship at the end.  I don't know if it's paid or not.  If it isn't, it's not a reality for me.  I couldn't possibly take that long of a leave from working.  Anyway, it's something I need to look into further, but I think I might just apply to college.  I figure I can take some generals until I figure everything out and go part-time (maybe night classes for now) until I know for sure.  The thing is, everyone I work with has a Bachelor's degree and I just have my Associate's degree.  They don't treat me differently, but they do.  I thought about going back for my Bachelor's in lab stuff, but it just doesn't interest me like it used to.  And I don't know that I want to do this for the rest of my life.  Anyway, we'll see.  Maybe next fall.I can't wait until Thanksgiving.  A few friends and I have started a new tradition.  We go bowling the morning of Thanksgiving.  It's called the "Turkey Shoot" and you can win prizes and raffles and it's just plain fun!  I'm just pumped because my sisters are joining us this year, and they have no idea what's in store for them!  Anyway, I better get back to work.  If I don't hear from you all, have a good holiday!  AND DON'T OVER-DO IT!  Remember, pick your battles!  And use a smaller plate...it will prevent you from piling WAY more food onto your plate than you could possibly eat.  And stop eating when you are full!  I know the turkey is good and oh, the mashed potatoes, but remember, it usually only takes one bite to satisfy a craving.  I hope everyone is safe if you are traveling.  Bye bye for now!
