Well, I had my 6 month follow-up with my surgeon!  She was actually pretty impressed.  At work on Friday morning, I had my blood drawn and I ran pretty much every type of test that I could on it.  I didn't know what tests the surgeon would want, so I just ran them all!  When she walked into the room she said, "Well, 6 months, we need to check your labs."  And I handed them to her.  I told her I couldn't fast for that long, so I just took care of it myself.  She loved that.  And I loved it because I saved myself about $100.  The hospital charges like $18 just for phlebotomy!  I could draw my OWN blood if they let me!Anyway, she was impressed with my labs and my weightloss (122 pounds off in 6 months!!).  She told me I needed to be exercising because working just isn't enough.  Blah.  She asked if I had any issues with dumping or plugging.  No.  She asked if I was losing hair.  Yes.  She asked if I had any questions, and I told her about how I started smoking again, but I want to quit.  And then she went off about all the things that could go wrong (ulcers, perforations, etc.) and I said, "Yeah, that's why I want to quit again."  So, she set me up with the tobacco cessation program through the hospital and all I really wanted to do was get a prescription for Chantix.  Oh well.  I'll do what it takes. So, the appointment went well and I got some good exercise running all over the hospital.  Anyway, just thought I'd keep y'all updated.
