This week has been going well so far.  The hospital I had my surgery at was one of 6 hospitals in the US chosen to conduct a study on the longterm effects of bariatric surgery, and I am involved in that study.  For my 6 month follow-up, I've had to keep track of everything I've eaten, how I felt before, during, and after I ate, where I ate, who was with me, what time I started and what time I stopped and if I experienced any nausea, vomiting, rumination, retching, or dumping.  Because of doing that, I've been eating better.  I think I'll just continue on with the record-keeper they sent me.  I've been eating protein shakes for breakfast which keep me full until lunch time.  I think that's what's kickstarted my weightloss again.  I wasn't eating breakfast for the longest time because I couldn't eat cereal and I don't have time to cook in the mornings.  Having just one shake keeps me full for long periods of time, so I think I'll try to get into that habit.  Plus, the extra protein in the shakes is helping with my hairloss.  It's not so bad anymore.  Nothing else is really new.  The weightloss has started again, but it's pretty slow.  I stayed at the same weight for a little over 3 weeks and then BOOM, down 3 pounds.  I've lost a pound here and a pound there since that 3 pounds, but nothing to write home about.  Like I said in my last journal, I need to start exercising.  On Thursday, my best friend is having the surgery and I will be taking care of her 18 month old son while she's in the hospital.  I'm pretty sure he'll keep me busy.  I plan on taking him for walks and to the park, as long as it's not too cold out.  I love to watch him run and play.  And yes, snowbunny, I plan on bringing him up to see you!  The only problem will be leaving the hospital without him kicking and screaming. :)Anyway, that's what's going on.  Hope everyone has a great week.

I\'m looking forward to seeing him, I\'m gonna be miserable without him! I\'ll know he\'s in good hands though- so I\'ll try and get some rest after surgery! Thank you again for helping me so much with this...it\'s great having the support and the encouragement!
