Wow it's been a long time since I've been to this website.  I'm sorry to everyone who's been trying to keep updated!

Well, here's the scoop!  I moved back to my hometown and it's awesome.  I live in a townhouse with my sister and her son (he's 5 and lives half-time with his dad).  It's nice to have someone there to talk to, but it's nice to have your own space, too.

In terms of weight loss, I'm down 105 pounds.  It's coming off slower these days, but it is still coming off.  I'm still trying to eat healthy.  I have no problem avoiding the sugary donuts and rolls at work in the mornings...pretty much because I know I'll get sick.  If I tried one and didn't get sick, that'd be bad too.  I'd rather just not know.  I still haven't had caffeine, except the tiny little bit that's in decaf coffee...and I'd say I have one of those once every two weeks or so.  I'm doing awesome on my water consumption.  A friend who had surgery ended up with kidney stones shortly afterwards, so I'm pretty conscious of my liquid intake.

I work in a lab, so I checked my own labs the other day.  My total protein is a tiny bit low, but I can change that.  Otherwise, everything looks great.  Since surgery, I've lowered my cholesterol AND my liver enzymes.  I'm pretty sure I lived with a fatty liver for a long time, so my enzymes were always pretty high.  They're back in the "normal" range, so I'm really happy about that.  I checked my blood counts and those look great.  No anemia for me!  I just wish I could just send the results to my surgeon instead of having to have my blood drawn again.  He won't allow it, but it'd be so much cheaper!

I did have a puppy for the last 3 weeks or so.  I had to give him up yesterday because he finally crossed the line and bit me (like hardcore bit me).  The trainers said he was an aggressive dog, but it only seemed like he was like that when he was scared.  Then, he tried to steal a piece of pizza out of my nephews hands and when I stopped him, he bit and he bit hard.  With a 5 year old in the house, we can't have a biting dog.  I had to return him to some family that I got him from and they are trying to find him a nice home.  I miss him, but I know it's better this way.

Otherwise, everything is going great.  I'm meeting new people and learning new skills at work, so life is a bit overwhelming at times, but I'm dealing with it.  I would like to start dating again.  I'm getting more and more confidence the smaller I get, so maybe soon...

Anyway, that's what's new.  I'll try to keep writing, but life has me pretty busy these days...smiley-laughing.gif

You didn\'t tell me you got rid of Sammy. Sorry to hear that...there\'s a perfect puppy out there for you somewhere. I\'m sure he misses you, too.
