So, yesterday, I had my 3 month post-op appointment! I was a little worried because...well...just because. I figured I had to be doing something wrong. And I was right. My physician's assistant told me I have to go out and buy like 4 more vitamins because my multivitamin doesn't cover them...plus I have to start taking iron (which tends to constipate people, so I don't wanna!). I have to pick up some biotin, iron, magnesium, and a new multivitamin. Oh, and a different calcium. Apparently, I was doing it ALL wrong. I also had a B12 injection because she thought a deficiency might be causing my muscle aches and charlie horses. She decided to draw my labs just to make sure (before the injection), so I was poked and prodded for a good 2 hours. Then, I went to visit the dietician. I figured I'd get yelled at there, too, but she was pretty impressed. Soy milk is saving me. I drink a lot of it throughout the day because 1 cup fills me up for a snack and it's high in protein. She said the soy milk is what's putting me into my daily protein requirements. I'm started losing a little hair (just a few strands here and there) but I also have long hair, and long-haired people tend to shed a little more anyway. I just hope it never comes out in clumps! On the plus side, the vitamins have made my fingernails beautiful. My sister is jealous because she's the one in the family with the nice nails, but mine are getting really long. I used to bite them as a kid, but all that stopped when I took a microbiology class and figured out what actually LIVES under there! My mom loves 'em because once in awhile, I'll bless her with a nice back-scratch. :)Anyway, that's what's new with me. I hope everyone has a nice weekend.
