Sorry for being gone so long everyone! I'm finally back to my normal life!
My interview went well. Actually, it went VERY well and they offerred me the job, but I turned them down. They warned me that the job I would actually be doing would be a tiny, miniscule (??) portion of what I actually learned in school. And then they showed me and I wasn't impressed. I told them that I was more interested in staying with my company because I'd like to keep my status there.
Anyway, it was good practice.
My diet is going "ok". I'm trying as hard as I can to take my vitamins. I'm running pretty low on them, so I need to get to the Dr. to buy more.
Foods are getting easier. I've discovered that I can eat just about anything except regular bread, dairy products, and greasy foods. I took a few bites of a muffin this morning, not realizing there were huge sugar granules on the top of it. I felt like crap for about an hour because of the sugar and the carbs in the muffin, so I learned my lesson there. I haven't tried pasta, and I won't for awhile. It's one of those things that I would over-do if I knew my stomach could handle it.
Speaking of which, I was in a wedding on Friday and discovered my alcohol tolerance...VERY LOW! I spent the entire day without a drink. Right at "last call" I got a glass of wine and sipped it until the DJ stopped playing. Then, I tried to go to my hotel room. I stumbled all the way! It was refreshing to just do it instead of worrying what would happen. I've heard of addiction transfer, and I can kind of see it now. Don't worry, I'm not turning into an alcoholic. That ONE glass of wine is all I've had since my surgery, but I want to go to the liquor store to buy more. It sure helped me sleep! I know I'm strong enough to resist it though. I've never been a big fan of getting drunk, so I can avoid the liquor stores.
Anyway, I hope everyone had a good week.
