Tomorrow is 4 weeks post-op. I'm excited to weigh myself and see the difference. I've been weighing myself every day, but it fluctuates so much since I am female.
I am also having a friend do some 4 week pics. I will hopefully get some good ones and get them posted soon after.
I went down 1 size in jeans on Thursday. I almost cried. From high school until I was about 25, I wore a size 24. Then it bumped up to a 26. Then, soon after surgery, I was a 24 again, but today, I am wearing my first size 22's since junior high!!
I've been back to work for about a week and a half, and I didn't realize how strenuous my job was before. I can't complain. It's keeping me busy, so I don't think about food that often. But I have no energy to spare at the end of the day. I haven't been to the gym in a few days, but that's mostly because I've been working during their open hours.
In terms of recovery, I'm doing well. I have no problems except the lack of energy I mentioned earlier. I think once it slows down at work a little that I will be able to maintain a normal level of energy.
I'm still learning about foods. I haven't gone out to eat yet since the surgery, so I'm scared for that. My biggest fear is that I'll order a piece of chicken and it will be too dry and I will throw it up. Most of my friends and family are used to waiting for me to finish eating by now. I take my time, making sure to chew each bite until it's "mush", and I make sure to put my fork down between bites. My bite sizes are no bigger than what I would give my 1 year old godson, but most of the time, I'm just glad to have something with flavor in my mouth!
I do need to get on an eating regimen though. If I didn't HAVE to take a lunch break, I'd probably never eat lunch. I still don't feel hunger, although I'm beginning recognize the signals when my body needs fuel.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed my update. I have some work to do now!
