I am so pissed!  My former employer,(name deleted as a courtesy) is trying to screw me outta the vacation I had coming.  My agreement when I started was that I was to get 4 days till the end of the year and then 2 weeks in 2008.  Now, the director of service is trying to deprive me of it  He is trying to contend that the employee manual says that I would not get it till Sept. No, that is not what we agreed to.  If we had agreed to what it said in there, then I would  not have gotten any vacation till after a year of employment.  As it was, he gave me 4 days till the end of the year, and then 2 weeks in 2008.. The first problem is that the employee manual was not part of the negotiation.  I signed that agreement 3 days before my start date.  I was not even given a manual till two or three days later.   Second, 4 days just happens to be about 1/4 of 2 weeks rounded up.  Hmmm  I started in the last quarter.   Hmmm.  If that is all I was supposed to get for a year, I promise you he would have stated that clearly.  It was ONLY after he laid me off that he has tried to weasel.  I got hold of the director of whatever, that man's boss and stated my case.  It is just plain trivial for a multi million dollar corporation to try and cheat me outta 800 bucks
