I've been checking in regularly but haven't felt up to posting a journal. I figure I didn't need to whine on-line. I've been rather down this month - thinking too much I guess. I made it through my "due date" . I keep wishing things had worked out differently and imagine what would have been. It's just been a rough month.... one of my good friends, who by the way turned 40 on October 7, had a beautiful baby boy on October 16. My miscarriages are all unexplained. The only explanation she entertains is my age.....50 - 60 % of all pregnancies will miscarry after 40. I was looking forward to my visit with this other doctor who runs a program investigating recurrent miscarriage. However they called at 2 p.m on Friday to cancel my Monday appointment. This is the one I've been waiting for for two months. I was so disappointed. They will call me tomorrow with a new date. So once again I feel like I'm swimming by myself upstream.....it's not an urgent problem to anyone but me. I turn 41 this week. Time is running out. I keep wondering if all these roadblocks I keep encountering are some kind of sign that I shouldn't try anymore.

p.s. The picture I\'ve uploaded to my profile is of my daughter at the beach. I think it just radiates with pure joy of life.
WHAT!!!??? you have no idea how pissed i am about this! you are not swimming alone, i am alongside and filled with righteous anger over how you are not getting the chances you deserve. please, please don\'t give up on this doctor appt. PLEASE just go and see what they have to say. if it\'s bad and they don\'t have anything positive to say, would you feel worse than right now? because i think that the not knowing is the worst.
we are so lucky to have our little ones. this morning i hung up the phone with daddy and i said, \"daddy\'s a great guy, huh?\" and my little bear said \"you too, mommy.\" that might just brighten the whole rest of my week.
don\'t give up just yet. i turned 42 in august, so you still have time. i agree with pigtails, at least go to the dr. and see. ps-the picture is great.
I hope you went to the doctor\'s appointment. I know this is a different situation, but you have to think about the 70\'s. My mother was 35 when she was pregnant with me. Everyone kept telling her she was going to have a baby with Downs. I was 29 years, when I conceived a baby with rare dwarfism, who lived for 33 hours. We do know a family who got a donated egg. They had a boy last year. I am praying for you very hard.
