Well I made it through the surgery.  I probably worried more about it than I needed to.  I had a D& C, laproscopy and hysteroscopy on Thursday.  I am hoping that my long drawn out fourth miscarriage is having some type of closure.  I'm a little sore but otherwise fine.  I've been taking it easy for the past couple of days.  DH has been great. What are my thoughts on this?  I guess mixed feelings are the best description.  I am still frustrated with my doctor.  When I woke up from my surgery, the nurse said everything went ok and  that my doctor left a note to go back and see her in two months.  TWO MONTHS!!!!!  I would have liked a follow up to the surgery.  What does exactly does "Everything went ok " mean?   I know that I need to wait at least two months before considering another pregnancy but I would like to know a few things.  For example did they get all the "remaining tissue"?   Did they see anything with the laproscopy?  Am I wrong to expect just a few minutes of explanation on how things went?My doctor did not want to do any of these things to begin with.  I had to beg and complain.  Part of me wonders if what was requested was actually done.  The surgery was actually delayed about an hour because they couldn't find  my pre-op paperwork. Sometimes things just never go right for me.  The week before the surgery I arrived at the hospital for my ECG and chest xray.  As I was walking in I realized I didn't have the requistions for the test.  They were back home on my kitchen counter.  I had left without the envelope.  Now you have to understand it is like an hour drive for me.  So I called the doctor's office and spoke to her assistant explaining my predictament.  I asked if she could possibly fax copies of the requistions so my trip wasn't wasted and I wouldn't have to reschedule the pre-op.  She was really great and did fax stuff over.  I thought everything had worked out however as I'm sitting  and waiting to go into the operating room, my doctor tells me the items she had requested weren't in my file.   I explained about forgetting the req's and how her assistant had helped me out.  According to my doctor the assistant had faxed the wrong stuff over.  So for a few moments I thought they were going to cancel the surgery.  I had the gown and cap on and an IV already.  My doctor just seemed so disgusted with me.  Then I was introduced to the intern doing the operation.....my doctor was supervising.  Great!  The intern came to speak to me but I was so worried they would cancel the surgery I didn't really stress how important it was for me to have them take a good look at my reproductive organs and remove any endometriosis.I know I sound like a miserable complaining nag in these journals.  I do use them to vent.  I'm not really that kind of person.  I really one of those quiet doormat types....I need to be assertive with these medical personnel not just privately in my journal. So I am going to call tomorrow and see if I can get an earlier visit or at least a phone call on the results of the operation.  She already thinks I'm an annoying patient.I did ask for a referral back in May since this doctor says she can do nothing more for me.  She told me she referred me back on June 6.  So on Friday I called this other doctor's office and asked about the status of my referral.  Apparently they did receive the referral as a fax.  However it only had my name and no contact information.  They couldn't make out the referring doctor's signature and when they called the clinic, nobody apparently knew who I was.  It's all so infuriating frustrating.   It's bad enough that miscarriage keeps happening to me and I don't know what is going on with my body.  But I also have to fight just to get a doctor to look at me and listen to  me.  O.K enough venting.  We had our anniversary this past Saturday.  We went out for a lovely family dinner and really enjoyed just being a family.  We are so grateful for our daughter.  She is our little miracle.
