My HCG level continues to drop allbeit slowly - it was 81 last Thursday. I'll go in for another blood test tomorrow and have a follow up with my doctor next Wednesday. I know I'm ovulating again so I'm sure whatever remains in my uterus will be expelled with a regular period. I've been having that ache in my lower left pelvis which I have more intensely when pregnant. I'm sure there is something to this. I never had it until I begin miscarrying my last four pregnancies. Yet no doctor seems to think this is of any concern. So my plan is ask (AGAIN) as forcefully as I can for laporscopy. I like my doctor, she has a good bedside manner but.... she always puts me off. She sticks to statistics.... for her it is perfectly normal that absolutely no testing on me was carried out until I had three miscarriages. Now she refuses to try anything other than progesterone on me because as she says "statistically" these experimental treatments only show results for people with six or more miscarriages. All she suggests is that we start the progesterone sooner. I have not been diagnosed with a LFD but she says if I do have one she is treating it. I continue to read and research..... I've read that Clomid is more effective than progesterone simply because it is easier to time it. (Book - A Woman Doctor's Guide to Miscarriage) It is so frustrating to get answers and understand .... I think they're all still guessing. I want investigation not this sit back and see what happens attitude. I mean I've done that 4 times!!!! I can't believe they keep suggesting it. So I plan to also ask for a referral to another fertility specialist. It means driving to Toronto which is almost a three hour drive. I guess I'm still considering this TERM program but since it takes awhile to get in I might as well get the ball rolling. I can always cancel if I decide I just can't go throught this anymore. I'm also seeing a naturpath... my first appointment was last week. I found her very thorough in her questioning of my miscarriage history and she did seem to think the aching ovaries were something to investigate. Right now my program with her is just to get me on the healthy side again. She has put me on B vitamins as well as a calcium/magnesium. We're supposed to do a blood allergens test tomorrow. It's like $250. Yikes! I'm hanging in there....

what is the TERM program? (i\'m from illinois.) so glad to hear that you are taking the bull by the horns and taking charge of your health care. after all, no one cares as much about this as you do. i suppose i\'d be worried about the clomid/progesterone controversy too except that i know my last one was chromosomally abnormal. (and that\'s what good it does to know, a little peace of mind for me. wish they would do the same for you.) i forgot, did they do a karyotype of you and your husband? at least your doctor sounds like she is on top of the facts and the information coming out for her field. could be worse! if only you guys saw eye to eye. i\'m hoping the best for you. did they give you a waiting period?
p.s. something else i didn\'t understand about your entry. the first time i miscarried, they tested my hcg down to zero. but then they never bothered with it again. perhaps they\'re monitoring it for you because of that second d&c?
For my first two miscarriages I was basically sent home. They did an ultrasound but no blood tests. I think they only did one blood test after the third. My doctor wants to see it at zero to rule out the need for a D&C. Thankfully I finally stopped bleeding about a week ago so I hoping to avoid the D& C
Longing, you are in my thoughts. I am not a big fan of doctors. The less I deal with them the better I feel. It\'s a long story. You seem reasonable to me to ask now not 6 mcs later. Each mc is a broken heart. I hope you can work this out. I am here for you!
