Hi everyone....
I haven't written since I found out I am having triplets. I can't say that it's hit me yet.....there are still more moments than not that I think "HOLY CRAP."
OF COURSE I feel very thankful and very blessed. But the truth is, I am terrified. this only complicates pregnancy, and I don't have a great track record as it is. My RE basically was honest in saying that pretty much anything that can go wrong may very well go wrong with a multiple pregnancy. She wasn't trying to scare me, just wanted me to understand that this is high risk and I need to expect some issues along the way.
I just wish we could all have sex, get pregnant and give birth - not have to worry about these things. it's not fair.
I know it sounds awful - "too many babies"....and it's not having three babies that scares me. it's keeping them healthy until they are born. every single day I wake up scared about something happening that day.
I did have a bleed last Tuesday. a gush of bright red blood (TMI, sorry). i was on my way to work and felt it. thankfully I was scheduled for my weekly u/s anyway, and my doctor jsut told me to come over and took my right in. DH left work and came with me. All my beans are ok. she feels it was cervical, which was a relief - no SCH and she couldn't see where it was even coming from.
just some brown VERY light spotting since, which I expected and doesn't worry me. it's the idea of it happening AGAIN that scares the bejeezus out of me.
UGH, we all deserve some peace and joy.

Glad things still looked good after the bleed.
I too wish it could be simple for all of us but you\'re right it\'s not and that makes it so hard to enjoy. Really hope it gets easier.
Wouldn\'t it be nice if it were easier! I had a big gush on Monday and another yesterday. I have had 3 ultrasounds in a week because of it, but all is looking good for me too. I could really do without the bleeding!!!
I still can not get over the fact that you have three growing in there!!!! Its awesome and scary all at the same time I am sure. Have you found a high risk OB or an MFM?
I wish I could say it gets easier but, even at 24 weeks I am scared! This is the furthest I have ever been pregnant by almost 3 weeks. First thing, are all 3 in separate gestational sacks? I remember when we found out our twins were identical. I kept praying they were in separate amniotic sacks because a lot of what I read about mono/mono twins talked about cord issues. My best advice, take each day as a day closer. My friend Jennifer is 25 weeks with triplets and doing well. My friend Yari, who had her abdominal cerclage the same day as me, is 15 weeks with Quads, also doing well. Praying you are in the same boat and have a smooth pregnancy. Hang in there!
Someone needs to invent some sort of portable ultrasound device so we can check on our nuggets whenever our anxiety kicks into gear aka 24 hours a day.
thanks everyone! I have two identicals (same sac) and one singleton. I go tomorrow for another ultrasound, but as of last Tuesday, they were all strong and growing as they should be. I have a OBGYN, who my RE knows very well and will also see a high risk doctor in conjunction with my OBGYN (they also work together). I haven\'t seen either yet, but as soon as my RE releases me, I will.
I\'ve read on a few blogs this sentiment: \"Once you become a mom there is not another worry free night the rest of your life\". In some form I agree. How you learn to work with it is up to you. I lost seven babies prior to our miracle due 6/2. I\'ll honestly say when I\'m at my most scared and desperate I vent out the emotions and turn it over to my higher power. There are only so many things we gave control of in this life. I prefer learning, knowing and keeping hold of my happiness. Congratulations on those three beautiful babies. I believe you are doing your best.
kDeezy, put me down for an order of one of those portable ultrasound devices! :)
Glad the babies are doing well but totally understand the fear of keeping them in there long enough and healthy.
Glad you are doing well and I completely get the fear part. I have been fearful most of my pregnancy and I am only carrying a singleton so I can\'t imagine what your going through! Good luck with the ultrasound tomorrow! :)
I\'m happy to hear that the bleeding stopped and that it was nothing big.
I hope that you do have a great pregnancy and you don\'t have any big issues along the way. You deserve that. Take it day by day as best you can, and keep your head up. 8 weeks is great! I hope that you are feeling good!
I had spotting all through out the first trimester. I still am scared to move... or be too far from a bathroom. Hoping for the best!!! My cousin has triplets and they are beautiful 8 year olds. :)
Glad everythings ok, I\'m excited for you even though I know if I were you I would be terrified, Im bad enough with just one in there to worry about!!
