My weight problems center around two issues I discovered--stress eating and desirability. My marriage contributes to both. I stress eat when my husband is around; when he travels for work, I am fine. I thought this was my problem, but I realized something else today. After I'd had two kids in succession and was 35-40 pounds overweight, my husband did not desire me. I was fat. (Did I mention that he needs to lose 75 pounds? Can you say double standard?) Now that I've lost the weight, I am now desirably and he wants "it" all the time. I don't. So now I find myself sometimes wishing I was overweight so that he wouldn't be pressuring me for sex all the time. How messed up is that? I am struggling with being thin to feel good about myself and being heavy to ward off my husband's advances.
