Battling my idiot in laws over the ac. They just don't seem to get it when I tell them that by waiting until the hottest part of the day to turn the ac on, and then closing up all that hot air in the house and expecting the ac unit to cool all that 85-90 degree hot air is 1.costing more in energy 2.running the system harder than it has to, thus shortening the life of the system. 3.Making flares more constant for me.
Not to mention lean times right now. I don't think we have ever seen times like these. We have always been able to pull together. But now we sit here wondering if we are even going to be able to keep our place to live, much less eat. I have a couple of friends that would be happy to help, if it were not for the fact they are in the same boat as us.
None of this would be happening if my mother in law had not put her "boyfriend" (husbands dad, so really father in law, although mil and fil are not married) in charge of her money after the house caught fire and we were staying in the hotel. There were certain "purchases" he made that he didn't have to make.
(can't believe it has taken me two days to get this written! I actually started this Monday..ROFL)
MIL went to doctor for her disability today. Had to take half day off work. I'm not gonna be making much this week, what with Memorial day and all.
Saw a girl I hadn't seen in years. Was nice, but she was drunk, I could have done without that part. Her deceased husband and my husband were best friends, and we had not seen her since he had passed. She did remarry, but she doesn't love her new husband and is still in love with her deceased husband. I know it tore my husband up when she told him that. He still cries sometimes cause he misses him so bad.
Time to go cook, the masses be hungry..lol
