When my mother and father divorced he moved to a nice home in Mattapan Ma. and she moved us, herself and two daughters and me to a little and I mean little, rental house in Lexingtone Ma..  The whole house consisted of three room and a kitchen.  It was quite a change from the nine room older home that we lived in Newton ma.  It became immediatly apparant that the girls were to be considered different than the boy.  They on one end of the home and me on the other.  The only good tale that I have from this period is when my older sister locked me out of the house one day and I pushed on a pane and broke a window.  My mother came home and ripped me a new one for getting blood on the floor and lectured me on my carelessness for a couple of hours before finally taking me to the emergency room to get stitched up.  By then it had become too late for the stitches and I had to wrap it and soak it for days till it grew back together.  When I got home from the emergency room a towel was thrown at me and I was forced to clean the bad blood off of the floor.  My sister got away with her actions without a word being said to her while I got the lecture for breaking the pane of glass.  I blead throughout her entire lecture and of course leaked onto the floor.  I was 12 at this time.  I still have the scar to remind of this story! lol

To still have the scar - that was such a deep cut. Amazing how a mother could watch her son bleeding so much and still taking valuable time to make you feel even worse. If I have this right - you were bleeding all over the floor because she felt it necessary to give you a lecture - but since it was your blood you were responsible for the clean-up. Wow - you must have felt so alone.

It\'s very difficult when being singled out and pushed aside. I didn\'t deal with it to your extent with such straightforwardness, but I did on a confused, conditional love level. You are a very good courageous man from what I\'ve read so far.
