I feel like I could drink but I know that I do not need it. My body is recovering really well from not drinking for nearly 4 weeks and I feel that my health has really improved. It feels like it is just my mind and habit thinking that I should be drinking. I still associate going to restaurants after work with having a beer. I am drinking lots of soda water which is great and that is making a difference.
I have also lost 12kgs of weight since I stopped. Much of this is water retention but also fat as my training in the gym has increase due to no hangovers and my liver must be working much better. Thee are all positives I must take out of it. I go back to the hospital on Saturday to get an ultra sound on my liver to see if the fatty acids have reduced. I am hoping they have but I am not sure how quickly they decrease. I am eating well and exercising so as long as it is a decresae I will be happy!

The liver damage is from alcohol. It also poisons the pancreas. In my physiology class the Doctor referred to alcohol as a poison. When I see booze , I say to myself \"poison.\"
I like that concept. It\'s actually a fact! I will start to look at it that way. The cravings has gone but the habit of wanting it is still there. I am very focussed and putting my energy to other goals which is working for me. I need to maintain this. Thanks for your comments Impermanence.
