Still waiting....

Contractions slowed to about one contraction an hour late this morning. I was SO FRUSTRATED!! I took a nap and when I woke up, realized I hadn't felt any movement once the contractions slowed down. I called my OB, but she is off Wednesdays. It took awhile to talk to someone, but they got me in to the clinic as soon as I spoke to the nurse. DH is working 40 minutes from home, so I drive myself to the clinic. When they hooked me up I heard the heartbeat right away and breathed a sigh of relief! Baby was very active, I just wasn't feeling the movements. I did have two contractions during the non stress test, which confirmed that indeed I was having contractions last night! A different doctor checked me and said I am now 2 cm, fully thinned out and at 0 station. She told me to keep my appointment tomorrow with my OB and if baby isn't here ask her to strip my membranes. So, that is the plan for now. However, on the way home contractions started up again, so we shall see what tonight brings. The contractions are still only 30-50 seconds long, but are 7-8 minutes apart. I am praying that they get stronger, longer, and closer.... I am ready to hold this baby in my arms after 7 1/2 years of praying.
