Ah, first entry of the holiday. I was going to do one yesterday but I kind of fell asleep first. In fact this is kind of upbeat and I'm quite happy right now. I got home, surfed the net and slept for the rest of the day, woke up this morning, had breakfast, did some work (elastic extensions in mechanics, ugh...) then I went for a run. In fact the run is kind of the highlight of today. After coming 22nd in the house cross country (a feat that I am still proud of) I decided that, seeing as that was the last active sport I'd ever have to do, I'd keep my fitness up, so I'm going running now. The run today was 4 miles on road, (not too tough) and I managed it in a total time of 22 minutes, anyone would be proud of that. Anyway, the fact that I'm doing well at this means that I must be doing something. It's kind of fulfilling and it makes me happy and satisfied with life as it is now. I haven't actually felt fulfilled since last christmas holiday. Thats three months feeling like I'm going backwards, not forwards, missing something from my life and generally not feeling good enough, well I'm not going to go into the who, what, when, where and why of all that stuff but I'm pretty sure that there are a fair few people who could piece it together, but that is all a different story. Anyway I got back, showered and went back to the general routine for the day. Next apply a liberal dose of pendulum (I really like their music right now) and that brings us to here, where I write another long rambling entry that no one's going to read or comment on at all. That's something I really wish was different, I do actually wish that someone would read this drivel that I write and then comment on it or talk to me about it, but they don't and I'm still waiting for someone to actually acknowledge that they've read a single entry since fifth form. Ah well, beggars can't be choosers or words to that effect.
Next order of business, rocsoc and such things related. Well last weekend was team dinners and rocsoc. Team dinner with cross country is a kind of low key thing and I usually don't get recognised at all, even though I've been in the senior team for almost all of the matches since fifth form. Still I did hang out with some of the badminton people like Fraser and Charlotte, which was good seeing as I haven't really talked to them for a while. Anyway because it was such a low key event I didn't actually end up drinking too much, on that note my thing for not sending stupid messages when I'm drunk works perfectly so yay. Anyway next night on was rocsoc which was really fun, first band played pendulum which was great, second and third played some heavier stuff which wasn't so good to listen to and later on there was a band playing emo music (their description, not mine) which wasn't so great to listen to either. Other than that the music was really good though. Also I got to spend time hanging around and talking to people I hadn't seen for a while which was fun. Unfortunately as with every group of people there will always be odd person that you really don't want to see and catching them out of the corner of your eye dampens the mood a little, but it's all ok in the end. I got to spend time chatting (and jumping) with Fraser and Charlotte and Nick.
Incidentally on the subject of Nick (I know, that was a rubbish segway into a new topic), I've been talking to him and he's now with Katie. I don't think he's too clear on whether they're going out or not, but this is all from a conversation I had with him a few days ago so things have probably moved on since then. Anyway all I know is what I found out from him, but he seems really really into her. I guess it's natural to feel like that about your first kiss though, especially within the few days after. They're really cute together though, at least from what I've seen (which isn't much), and I really like them both, I only know Katie from a few really short conversations, but Nick and I spend the cross country sessions chatting and I don't really see anything wrong with either of them, so I wish them both all the best and I really hope things end well for them. Anyway this has been an incredibly long, rambling entry and I'm going to bring it to a close here before I get onto subjects like the stock exchange in relation to the price of fried cheese. Anyway I really hope I haven't got anything wrong in the last paragraph but I can't really say it's gospel.
Bye
