Things here always seem to stagnate. No one does anything until some focal point is given, then there is a flurry of action as everyone gives their two cents before it all dies away and stagnates again. I wish people would just write or live more in the moment rather than needing to wait for something to come up and talk about, somehow listening to other people stops things being so apparent. What do I know about this though, I'm just another person struggling to get by with everyone else but never really managing to. Fuck it, what does it really matter though, its not like it is any more difficult for me to get by than for anyone else. Anyway here is a little thing that I wrote for a poetry competition I'm going to enter, the title being 'Promises'  What is in a promise? A pillar of a friendship, Rising from a mist of grey, A shining bond framed in cloud, A mark of solidarity. Is this really what it is?   Is this what is in a promise? A feather dancing round, Blown by trivial winds, Against this halo of trust, Taken lightly until gales come. Is it as strong as that?   Is that what is in a promise? A roiling, darkening cloud, A shadow cast on the ground, Illuminated in bright light, As friends trust no more than fog. Who am I to decide? Anyway, as always, this isn't a dig at anyone, I just write from my own perception. This is just what I see and what I can come up with for the title given, I guess I just needed to put it somewhere for now.
