What a relieve. About half an hour ago I was sitting outside when three slabs of concrete leaning against the table beside me came tumbling towards me tearing the skin from the back of my ankle. Had I have been faced the other way just slightly, or a bit closer, I'd likely have crushed the bones in my foot. The slabs in total likely weigh in excess of 250 pounds. Our contractor had leaned them there, but the table wasn't able to withstand the weight. I feel very lucky right now. The back of my foot is raw and I'll likely be walking a bit funny for a few days but it could have been a lot worse...Whew!

It is beautiful day. Sunny and at least 75 degrees. Yet, it was snowing on Monday. Canada has the weirdest weather at this time of year. From winter to summer and back again. I'm a night owl and stayed up way to late last night. Haven't the motivation to go for a walk and enjoy it though. Mind you with the ankle throbbing I should probably stay seated anyway. That will be today's excuse...LOL. Don't know what I'll do when I run out of reasons to justify my laziness. I used to come up with some doozies when I was working away from the house, and would call in sick. Much easier doing my work here, but less gets done as a result.

So, had best stumble out again and sit in a safer location. The sun does me the world of good...
