My first journal entry. Cool. Haven't participated in an online environment like this. Find the whole idea really interesting. Haven't done the 'chat room' thing either so this is all very new, and exiting at that. New is often good for me. It tends to lift my spirits. With today being a holiday it is usually not a good one for me. Holidays and special occasions such as Easter tend to drag me into a less than happy state. My plans for the day were abruptly cancelled last night at 9:00pm. No explanation offered. Automatically thought it must have been something I did, but was able to put two and two together and come up with the right answer. It had nothing to do with me at all. The couple that cancelled must have had an argument or something and decided against entertaining. Was pleased that I didn't blow it all out of proportion and put blame on myself. Woke up feeling better as a result...

Good! There must be 1001 reason why they cancelled you, and I am sure YOU were not one of them. Keep the positives vibes alive!

Turns out Gary\'s son is separating with his wife and is really upset about it. Gary decided to fly to Newfoundland yesterday morning in hopes of cheering him up. So, obviously his abrupt cancellation had nothing to do with me. I wish he\'d have offered an explanation rather than being so mysterious about it. It would have made it so much easier for me to understand. Life certainly isn\'t pre4dictable. A lesson that I\'m only now starting to get a grasp on.
But, It wasn\'t about me, I didn\'t over react, or stew about it, so I\'m feeling good about that. And a lot less confused now that I have the answer. I hope his son is doing as well, as can be expected, under the circumstances. Separation from a loved one is an awfully hard adjustment to make...
