Is there such a thing as righteous anger? As the healing process begins...As I open the lid of the buried chest...As the demons of the past show themselves to gloat...released upon the world, how powerful is forgiving, or does it render me powerless? Musn't I go through the hate first to find the hope buried at the very bottom?
If ever I forgave him, 70 times 7 times, would he not take advantage of it to do it again?
Did he ever really mean it when he said "sorry?"

In a calmer moment, I remember Jesus never said to be their rug, so much as turn the other cheek - which means, if they slap your right cheek (demeaning, used for servants) give them your left (hard to slap, have to punch - a fight between equals). I guess in a way, I do have to go through the five stages of anger to get to forgiveness and healing.
