I'm still waiting for the light at the end of the tunnel....so far, it's pretty dark.  I can't stop crying because I'm so stressed.  When I feel this awful, I think about taking a sleeping pill or two just to relax.  The problems are mounting, and there's no escape, leaving me to feel even more isolated.  It's time to see another therapist, in hopes of getting my feet back on the ground. Two nights ago, I paid mom a visit.  She was in good spirits, and we watched television together before I left.  This afternoon, she came over to visit me, and we reminisced about the past.  Surprisingly, her long term memory is much better than the short term.  I'm trying desperately to adjust to the "new" mom, who is extemely forgetful, fragile, repetitive, childlike, negative, and unrealistic.  I cried and said a prayer for mom today, and also one for myself.   I have to call her soon, just to make sure that she's safely at home with the door locked.  I remember the times when she was careless about securing the front door, or forgetting to turn off the oven, among other things.  I'm really scared.
