Got my scan films and report today. It says that there is a 1-cm sclerotic lesion in the right iliac bone, which may be secondary to a bone island. Don’t know what that is. It also says that here is a 3.2 x 1.6-cm hypodensity of fluid attenuation , which may be secondary to post-surgical changes, such as seroma or granuloma. Again I don’t know what that is. Also dependant changes at the lung bases………what? Recommends clinical correlation. Huh? Go back to the prescribing dr. on Wednesday. I get to imagine what he problem is until then. Besides this things are well.

you could google the words of interest to you and it might help you understand. The person who reads the scan describes everything present on the scan and sometimes it doesn\'t mean much to your treatment or condition. Its their job to describe what they see. I\'ve had a couple xrays recently and as a consequence I will have a bone scan monday. Might have osteoporosis and I\'m a little young to have it. As my son says, \'Whatever\'
All in all not that scary of a report Mike. Trust me on that one.
